Friday July 9th
Happy Friday, Pantry readers! We’ve got a fabulous fete for you this morning from Washington DC wedding photographer Jennifer Hughes. Kendall & Mohamad’s wedding was bright and colorful, and included a very special surprise for the groom!
Kendall & Mohamad
Kendall & Mohamad’s fabulous wedding took place at the Engineer’s Club in Baltimore on May 8. Katie Martin of Elegance and Simplicity did a fantastic job coordinating all of the details of the day an creating the amazing florals, too – the end result was breathtaking! We love the tree branch centerpieces adorned with hanging votive lanterns.
Charm City Cakes designed the groom’s cake, which was modeled after a urological machine that Mohamad uses in his practice! Definitely the most original groom’s cake we’ve seen here on the Pantry.

Congratulations, Kendall & Mohamad! Big thanks to Jennifer for sending us some awesome photos from their day. Keep an eye out for Kendall & Mohamad on Ace of Cakes - word on the street is that the film crew was there to document the presentation! Visit Jennifer’s blog for more wedding goodness.

Tuesday June 15th
Today’s Baltimore wedding comes from Boston wedding photographer Jocelyn Mathewes of Studio Mathewes. It’s laden with nature-ific details and lovely personal touches. I love when weddings come together with help from family and friends – it makes the day all the more meaningful.
Mariko & Jeff
Mariko & Jeff were married at the Irvine Nature Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The ceremony location blended harmoniously with the details of their outdoor nuptials. Mariko’s mother is an artist who draws horticultural images, and she created the gorgeous drawings for the invitations and menu. For their guestbook, a friend created a beautiful screen-printed tree poster where guests could put thumbprint “leaves” as their mark. Mariko & Jeff chose potted herbs as the decor for their reception at the Linwoods Restaurant. During the ceremony, the rings were passed around to each guest so that they could warm them in their hands with kind and generous thoughts. These are just a few of the details from Mariko & Jeff’s day that made it truly intimate and special.
Other fun details? A dinosaur cake, the self-selected bridesmaids’ dresses in varying shades of navy, Mariko’s veil made from her mother’s veil material, homemade bride and groom cookies in the shape of hearts, and Mariko’s stunning sapphire engagement ring!

So many adorable details! Congratulations, Mariko & Jeff! Thanks Jocelyn for making Tuesday a little sweeter. Check out the Studio Mathewes blog to see more of her work!
