Janine & Shaun
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Here in Pennsylvania homes are decorated in lights, snow is falling and we’re anxiously awaiting Santa. San Antonio-based photographer Philip Thomas says this is his favorite time of year to photograph weddings “First, the light is just incredible and challenging to work with, second, no rain and third there’s very little humidity which is always a welcome in South Texas and a British bloke like myself,” said Philip.
Philip has graciously shared Janine and Shaun’s San Antonio wedding with us. Janine and Shaun are high school sweethearts that finally tied the knot after many years of dating. On the big day, the girls and guys got ready at the Hotel Valencia on the famous San Antonio River Walk. Janine had her make up done by KM Impressions and hair styled by Kellie Buckingham.
Wedding planner Carly Derstine organized everyone at the First Presbyterian Church for the ceremony and designed the décor for the reception at Weston Centre. “I have many favorite images from their day but one for me that really stick out is of the two little children, Maddie and Drew touching the flowing water with their hands,” said Philip. “They were just playing together right at the bottom of the Weston Centre and totally unaware of me capturing their fun moment.”
Guests enjoyed dinner catered by Page Barteau Catering, dessert by Seventh Heaven Cakes and music by Eric Holtz of Holtz Entertainment all while Eric Adam and Micha-Angel Productions captured all the special moments on video.

Congratulations, Janine & Shaun! Fore more of Philip’s great work, visit his blog.

Mary Ellen & Dan
Today’s wedding is another stunner from one of our foreign photographers. Nikos Papadapoulos Gogas is an award-winning fine art wedding photographer based in Greece. Nikos began taking pictures when he was 20, but it wasn’t until years later that he became interested in fashion photography. His weddings always reflect his fine art and commercial styles, and this wedding is no exception.
Mary Ellen & Dan were wed in an intimate rooftop ceremony on the island of Mykonos, known for its white beaches and unparalleled nightlife. Guests stood for the ceremony and watched as the couple said their vows at sunset. No fancy flower pomanders, here – just a beautiful couple surrounded by friends and family in paradise. Neither Nikos’ work nor this wedding require much of an introduction, so without further ado…

Congratulations, Mary Ellen & Dan! Visit Nikos’ blog to see more of his high-end wedding photography.

Sabine & Soeren
This countryside wedding began with portrait and getting ready shots, by Germany-based photographer Roland Michels, at Sabine’s home. Her father has a vast collection of classic mopeds and tractors, so the thought of arriving at the church, located in Brande-Hörnerkirchen, via tractor crossed her mind, but instead Sabine’s father arranged for her to arrive in a vintage Mercedes Adenauer courtesy of a family friend.
After the ceremony everyone traveled to Ringhotel Bokel-Mühle am See for an evening full of dinner, drinks and great company. Before the reception, Roland and the newlyweds managed to snag a few rustic shots along the hotel property. The dock overlooking the picturesque Lake Bokel set the scene inside the pavilion where dinner was served. Guests toasted to the couple’s future and enjoyed each other’s company all night long.

Congratulations, Sabine & Soeren! For more of Roland’s great work, visit his blog.

Liz & Sergio
It’s awful chilly here in the Northeast, so I figured featuring a wedding in hot Los Cabos, Mexico would help warm us up! And, boy was I right. Today we’re featuring both Liz & Sergio’s wedding and day after session with Mexico-based photographer Dino Gomez.
Let’s start with the ceremony, which was held at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort’s chapel. Wedding planner Karla Casillas took care of all the details from white flowers scattered down the aisle to the unity candle perfectly placed on the altar. Later, the reception took place at the Cabo del Sol Club House where guests celebrated the love. Karla’s talent for timing struck again when she queued the mariachi band to play before the dinner. Guests enjoyed drinks and dancing throughout the evening as well as cake for dessert.
The next day, Dino met with the newlyweds on the sandy beaches of Los Cabos for some day after shots. Liz is truly a beauty as she lets her hair down and splashes Sergio with water! I love these two frolicking on the shore.

Congratulations, Liz & Sergio! For more of Dino’s great work, visit his photo gallery.
