Engagement Twosday | Jeff & Amy with JAG Studios

December 14th, 2010

Jeff & Amy

Hellooooo hydrangea! This backyard engagement session, with Jacklyn Greenberg of New Haven-based JAG Studios, has more than just love blossoming! Jeff and Amy simply pop against the rich green and blue hydrangea. I love that Amy’s bright pink dress has white flowers outlined on it. So sweet!

“Jeff and Amy didn’t hold back from the camera a bit, starting the shoot off with a big kiss, and just enjoying the time together,” said Jacklyn.

Congratulations, Jeff & Amy! For more of Jacklyn’s great work, visit her blog.

Engagement Twosday | Isabel & Eric with Kip Beelman

December 7th, 2010

Isabel & Eric

Be still my heart, these two are adorable! Isabel and Eric exchange loving glances, hold hands, and draw you into each photo courtesy of Seattle-based photographer Kip Beelman. The group chose the historic Ballard neighborhood to start the shoot in an urban setting. “The neighborhood is also significant as it has two nearby music venues that Eric’s band plays at now and then (The Sunset Tavern and The Tractor) and is where they met,” said Kip.

The second location is in Discovery Park to capture a more rustic and natural feels. Side note: I am in love with Isabel’s fur jacket. The couple is planning an intimate, vintage-inspired backyard wedding at the lush gardens of the bride’s aunt in the North Seattle area.

Congratulations, Isabel & Eric! For more of Kip’s great work, visit his blog.

Engagement Twosday | Chloe & Mark with Emily Anderson

November 30th, 2010

Chloe & Mark

Chloe and Mark were engaged at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, so naturally they chose to have their engagement session there too.  The Arboretum ground features nature trails for hiking, snowshoeing, biking and paths for skiing on over 1,700 acres of woods, lakes, gardens and prairie.

New York-based photographer Emily Anderson captured this loving couple in this natural rustic setting. She will also be photographing their wedding at the River East Art Center in Chicago.

Congratulations, Chloe & Mark! For more of Emily’s great work, visit her blog.

Engagement Twosday | Katie & Ashley with Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel

November 23rd, 2010

Katie & Ashley

Katie and Ashley met at the University of Tennessee two years ago, at that time Ashley was a first year Master’s student, and Katie was a first year doctoral student.  The details of what happened next are blurry and can be traced through thousands of text exchanges (Ashley had to change his text plan from 1500 messages to unlimited just to avoid hundreds of dollars in charges).  After a few months, and some bumpy “learning moments,” the couple’s relationship grew stronger than they could have ever imagined.

They chose Nashville-based photographer Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel to capture their sweet engagement session. The group shot outside with Katie and Ashely’s two Boston Terriers.

Congratulations, Katie & Ashley! For more of Tara’s great work, visit her blog.
