Today’s wedding is full of color…vibrant reds and oranges with rich greens and deep browns! Missoula, Montana wedding photographer, Alicia Brown made great use of this color in her photos.
Heather & William
The couple wed in West Glacier, Montana at the Belton Chalet. The Belton Chalet is a national historic landmark hotel that was built in 1910 as the first Great Northern Railway hotel at Glacier National Park. The hotel welcomed guests who arrived by train long before roads cut across the Continental Divide. In the years that followed, the hotel evolved into a pizzaria, bakery, sporadic café and at one time, the Tap Room was known as the wildest nightspot in Northwest Montana! It wasn’t until the 1970′s that the Belton Chalet was listed in the historic register.
Heather & William’s wedding at the Belton Chalet was held in the same year as the hotel’s centennial anniversary and during the 4th of July weekend. The morning of the nuptials, the weather was chilly and damp, threatening rain right up until the ceremony. Heather was determined to be wed outside and knew that the gloomy weather would pass. And thankfully, it did!
The sun peaked out just in time for vows and gorgeous pictures amongst the tall pine trees. Heather wore a strapless gown designed by Maggie Sottero, with silver shoes by Pink Paradox and a white flower in her hair provided by J. Scott Couture. J. Scott Couture also provided the groom’s tux and shoes.
From the outdoor ceremony to the reception, you can see touches of bright colors. Heather chose orange and red as the colors for her wedding to reflect the hot summer season and fireworks. These colors can be seen in her bouquet and groomsmen’s boutonnières, created by Sue Ann Howell & the bride, her maid of honor’s dress designed by Alfred Angelo, and cake created by Megan Healy of Ganache.

Congratulations, Heather and William! Thank you for sharing your special day with us. To see more of Alicia’s great work, visit her blog.
