Happy Monday, everyone! Sometimes, Chicago-based international wedding photographer Dan Chen likes to shoot his couples in unlikely or unusual locations/scenarios. A summertime engagement shoot on the beach? Sweet, but it’s definitely been done before. A summertime engagement shoot during Chicago’s harsh winter months? Brave and awesome. As soon as we saw Caroline & Victor’s engagement photos, we couldn’t wait for their wedding. Trust us, this wedding doesn’t disappoint!
Caroline & Victor
At first glance, we were struck by the timeless and traditional details of Caroline & Victor’s Chicago nuptials. The groom in a black tux and bowtie, the bride in a strapless white gown fit for a princess, simple and elegant bridesmaid dresses, a cascading bouquet, and a heartfelt church ceremony. However, upon closer examination, Victor & Caroline’s fun-loving personalities are what shines in Dan’s amazing photos. Caroline was in (happy) tears throughout most of the ceremony, they took portraits with their bridal parties on a playground, and they burned up the dance floor at their reception at The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
Congratulations, Caroline & Victor! High-five to anyone who noticed the purple dinosaur eating Caroline’s shoe. Brilliant. Visit Dan’s blog to see more of his wedding photography and videography, too!
