Daily Destination | Anna Maria Island with Marta Noe

Thursday June 3rd, 2010

We have a gorgeous beach wedding from Atlanta wedding photographer Marta Noe this morning! I see a lot of beach weddings throughout the week and I must say that Sara & Josh’s wedding took the beach theme to a whole new level while keeping it classy. Their wedding was held on Anna Maria Island in Florida, which I didn’t even know existed until I came across this gorgeous wedding!

Sara & Josh

Sara & Josh are both scuba divers, so it was only appropriate that they had an underwater wedding theme and their colors were aqua and brown (one of my favorite complimentary color combinations). Josh proposed to Sara underwater while they were on a trip in Key Largo. He popped the question 75 feet inside a shipwreck called Spiegel Grove! Talk about a unique proposal. These grooms are setting the standards pretty high these days. ;)

Their ceremony took place on the beach and incorporated a sand ceremony in place of the traditional unity candle. Sara & Josh’s reception was held at the Bayside Banquet Hall. Sara carried orchids and other greenery in a Nautilus shell while her bridesmaids carried simple orchids with shells in cute little baskets. The details from this wedding make it really special – the water-filled centerpieces that look like jellyfish (so awesome), Sara’s starfish necklace, the chocolate shells on the cake. After I post this wedding, you’ll probably be able to find me browsing cheap flights to Florida on Orbitz.

If this wedding didn’t give you a craving for the beach (or the shore as we Pennsylvanians call it), you must be blind. Congratulations, Sara & Josh! Thanks for letting us share this wedding, Marta. Head over to her blog to see more of her lovely work.
